Frequently asked questions...

 

What time do I need to be there?

Clinics begin at 9am sharp with an introduction. Athletes are asked to complete their registration between 8:30am and 8:55am. When you arrive at the clinic, line up and have your name marked off and receive your name sticker. A whistle will blow at 9am to start the day.

 

What should I bring?

Netball – Netballs are not provided and it is necessary for all athletes to have their own ball. Balls will be on sale at each clinic for $20. See merchandise for more info.

 

Food – It is up to each association as to whether they open the canteen or not. Please have enough food to last the day, there will be a break for recess and lunch.

 

Drink bottle – You will have you drink bottle with you at each station. It is also a good idea to bring a spare bottle of water just in case.

 

Warm clothes, Hat and Sunscreen – Clinics will attempt to run in various weather conditions (wind, heat but not heavy rain) so please bring warm clothes to rug up during breaks for the cooler days and hats and sunscreen on the hot days.

 

What should I wear?

Comfortable training clothes Eg T-Shirt and shorts/leggings/tracksuit pants. Be prepared for various weather conditions as the clinic will attempt to run regardless.

 

It would be great to see you in your babble Shirt from 2009, however there will be new shirts on sale for you to collect.

 

What age is appropriate for Babble Netball Clinics?

The clinics are aimed at club level players aged 9 - 15 years of age. The clinic will cater for players of all levels and will give athletes the chance to learn new skills, drills and tactics for the sport they love.

 

How are groups allocated and can I be with my friends?

Age - Groups are allocated based on age. If you are 10 and wish to be placed with the 11 year olds please write 11 on your application.  

 

Friends-  Your entry form allows you to write down the name of a friend that you would like to be placed in a group with. We will try our best to accommodate each athletes request, remembering that Babble Netball Clinics encourage that you make new friends on the day as well.

 

First Aid?

St Johns are in attendance at ever Babble Netball Clinic. Their services are greatly appreciated. In case of an emergency the emergency contact that is provided on the entry form will be contacted.

 

Can Mum and Dad stay and watch?

Parents are more than welcome to stay and watch. The clinics are a great opportunity for parents to become greater equipped as coaches or knowledgeable parents.  Of course parents are also able to have a day to themselves, returning at 3pm to pick up your children.

 

What happens if it is raining?

In the event of wet weather the clinic will be postponed to another date. Information regarding the cancellation of a clinic will be available on the weather link of the website (click here) or please contact Katie on 0412 578 572 in the morning. Clinics will attempt to go ahead in most conditions so often best to turn up and then an announcement will be made at the start of the day.

 

Cancellation Policy

48 hours notice must be given for all cancellations to receive a full refund. Unfortunately for cancellations made within this time period no refund will be available.
